This policy explains what personal information Rootstock Guides collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, country and what you bought.
- Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. We receive only the information needed to confirm the payment, never your full card number.
- Technical data: your approximate country, used to show prices in your currency, and basic visit statistics.
- Emails you send us.
How we use it
- To deliver your guides and send your receipts.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To send you emails about our guides, only if you agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the services we need to run the store:
- Stripe, for payments.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Our email delivery provider, to send your guides and receipts.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure and improve our ads.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms. It records which pages you visit and whether you buy, so we can measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people who may be interested. Meta may link this information to your Meta account under its own privacy policy.
Payments use cookies from Stripe, needed to process your order securely and prevent fraud.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and manage the ads you see in your Meta ad preferences.
How long we keep it
We keep order information for as long as required by tax and accounting law, and the rest only as long as it is needed for the purposes above.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and you can object to how we use it. Write to support@rootstockguides.com. If you live in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside your country. When this happens, they use safeguards recognised by law, such as standard contractual clauses.
